Pat McCurren has managed a retail mattress sleep shop since graduating from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in May 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in Management and Information Systems. Since taking over this company, he has written numerous articles for local publications on the importance of sleep and tips for purchasing a new mattress set. He has been featured in the St. Peters Journal, O’fallon Journal, St. Charles Journal, Lincoln County Journal, the current newspaper at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, as well as several local magazines. In the years since Pat took the reins, the company has doubled its’ workforce and increased revenue by 35% annually, while driving costs down by nearly 20% per year.
When he’s not working Pat is an accomplished graphic artist, painter, sculptor and he also operates a fully functional recording studio and is always involved in music production and performance. His musical endeavors have led his travels far and wide, and helped him to make friends from every walk of life. In the future he plans to continue writing non-fiction as well as fiction, sci-fi, and, someday, screenplays for film. His dream is to compose and record music for his films, doing sound design and connecting all of his artistic media.
